Overview: SEAC is UREC's cross-functional council focused on bettering student employees' experience.Responsibilities included organizing internal communications and solutions-based discussions around improving employee experiences; collaborating with other representatives to strategize and implement plans to bolster intra-organizational feelings of belonging, with emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion; guiding community outreach efforts to support the mission and goals of University Recreation and the university at large; and coordinating an all-staff event - arranging refreshments and entertainment, planning decor, outreach, and other logistics, and helping with day-of setup - for over 100 of my coworkers.My efforts within SEAC contributed to my being named 2022-2023 Staff of the Year for my UREC department.

Overview: the Copy Chief heads the copyediting section of the paper.In this position, I analyzed 15-50 stories each week for factual errors and AP Style errors, as well as grammar, punctuation, tone, and overall story flow. I also trained and managed my team of 4 copy editors, working together in a hybrid format.I served as Copy Chief for both the Fall 2020 (Aug. - Dec.) semester and the Spring 2022 (Jan. - April) semester.

Overview: Ambassadors are the peer representatives of the College.In this role, I acted in a public relations capacity, leading tours for prospective students, parents, and alumni; assisting new students in their transition to WSU and the Murrow College; and engaging with current students through our retention programs, promoting opportunities for active involvement on campus and within the College.

Overview: The Ambassador Representative is responsible for fostering the camaraderie of the team and leads the group alongside the other elected officials. In this role, I planned events, outings, and bonding activities for our 18 group members, coordinating their schedules, communicating with the group and our adviser, and operating within our event budget. Additionally, I aided in the restructuring of the program and participated in discussions about the College's long-term development plan.

Overview: the Mint editor heads the arts, music, and culture (Mint) section of the paper.Responsibilities for this role included brainstorming 10-20 art, music, and culture-related story ideas weekly, emphasizing underrepresented social groups and community human interest stories; recruiting, managing, and mentoring a team of 12 reporters; overseeing story progress to ensure the stories would meet deadline; and coordinating the drafting, editing, and publishment of unique, themed 2-to-6-page Adobe InDesign layouts weekly.

Overview: team members work alongside the PINK Campus Representatives, assisting in brainstorming, event planning, content creation, and marketing to support PINK in its outreach goals.My involvement in this position included creating promotional materials (photos, videos, flyers, and social media posts) that combined design and digital trends with PINK's core messaging; organizing a variety of events - from conception to day-of event running, aiding with decor, music, food, and set-up - for as many as 50 guests; and promoting PINK's GRL PWR campaign, which focused on female empowerment and positivity.
