As a Human Resources assistant and Store Trainer, my responsibilities included vetting applicants for hire, scheduling and conducting interviews for retail workers, new hire paperwork, payroll entry, and staff newsletters/email management. I also conducted 2-3 day training courses for new hires, training new employees on company policies, customer service and the operation of point-of-sale technology (scanners, cash registers and other inventory management devices). As the Point-of-Sale coordinator, I also undertook 20-25 hours of data entry per week utilizing our in-house inventory tracking and price-changing software, working closely with store management to insure compliance to company-wide pricing changes and sale events.
