Management of submitted manuscripts, subscriptions, and office correspondence - required timely organization of many submissions in all phases of consideration, copy-editing of accepted manuscripts, careful creation of correspondence reflecting the aesthetic of the Journal, and professional communication and computer skills.My work provided the Journal a much needed facelift for their office operations. I created and organized a computer-based system of tracking incoming manuscripts and their process of consideration, complete to the final decision. This system saved the Journal time and money. I also provided a level of writing and editing expertise that can rarely be found in an undergraduate employee. I adapted my writing style and ability to reflect the aesthetic of the Journal and the views of its Senior and Associate Editors.

As the office manager, I compiled incoming assignments and prepared them for the appraisers daily. This required data entry, file creation, routing the destination, and communicating this information to the appropriate appraiser. I handled all invoicing and accounts receivables, all filing, and monetary transaction preparation. Due to my knowledge of Microsoft computer software, I was able to increase the efficiency of the data entry system the company had in place. My work was timely and effective providing the organizational skills the company needed.
