Responsibilities: • Create and facilitate job-embedded professional development that includes, but is not limited to: modeling, side-by-side coaching, leading data analysis groups, collaboratively planning, identifying instructional resources and materials, and weekly professional development.• Coordination of all district and state assessments• ELL and gifted services coordinatorProfessional Development Topics: Small group instruction, positive behavior intervention and supports (PBIS), precision partnering, reading and writing across the curriculum, whole child, grit, growth vs. fixed mindset, lesson planning and design, web 2.0 tools, grant writing, problem based learning, student engagement, and student goal setting and reflection.

As a Mentor Teacher, my responsibilities were:• Co-plan and facilitate weekly professional development• Evaluate, coach, co-teach, and support a pool of 6 to 8 middle school teachers• Engage in weekly Leadership Team meetings to identify teacher and student needs to create and follow plans to help support established needs As a 7th Grade Science Teacher, my responsibilities were:• Create engaging and rigorous S.T.E.M. and ELA experiences that align to state science standards, Common Core ELA standards, and school student achievement goals• Give students and parents weekly feedback through formative and summative assessments• Communicate weekly with students and parents about upcoming events, projects/assignments, and opportunities for tutoring and enrichment• Plan and deliver small group instruction for students in need of tier 2 and tier 3 academic support• Engage in grade level PLC to identify students in need of academic and behavior support, create a short-term goal and support plan, implement the plan, and meet to discuss results• Support community with school events that engage all stakeholders
