* Develop and facilitate the center-wide adoption of robust Safety, Biosafety, Regulatory Compliance, and Stewardship Programs. * Support 30+ internal research labs as well as external partners. * Develop protocols and participate in oversight of research field site safety and USDA regulated field trials. * Active member of internal biosafety and human subjects research review boards and oversight committees as well as several St. Louis area biosafety review boards. * Successful relationship management with internal researchers and external partners, including Principal Investigators, Executive Leadership, and public donors.

* Collaborated with a cross-functional team to develop and implement comprehensive biosafety protocols and procedures ensuring compliance with USDA, NIH and HHS regulatory standards and best practices. * Established effective communication channels with state and federal regulatory agencies, fostering transparency, trust and mutual cooperation resulting in a robust regulatory compliance program. * Provide expert guidance and training to research staff on proper handling, storage and disposal of hazardous and federally regulated biological materials, enhancing overall safety awareness and protocol adherence. * Established and organized the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) and Institutional Review Board (IRB), including policies and procedures to review research projects in compliance with NIH and HHS requirements. * Worked with USDA to establish the Danforth Center as a super-containment facility to streamline the permitting and inspection process. * Expert in physical containment and permitting of regulated plants and plant pathogens.
