Trade Compliance / Logistics Specialist
Current Keep track and organization of all BOP material for all projects arriving at packing / forwarding companies in the US. Assign Harmonized tariff and ECCN codes to all project specific BOP material and equipment. Prepare FTA calculation spreadsheet using the Regional Value Content for all Solar Houston fabricated skids, if applicable. Request USMCA certificates of origin or Certificates of Origin for all BOP material. Produce paper work (i.e., invoice, NAFTA Certificate of Origin (if applicable), Shipper’s Letter of Instructions) using Global Trade Management / Trade Automation for all BOP material and equipment that’s being exported. Receive objectives and guidelines for projects and work with minimal direct supervision. Use a high degree of creativity, judgment, and resourcefulness to accomplish objectives. Function as a significant contributor to solve complex problems. Set-Up projects in BaaN with each project’s budget information. Frequent contact with project coordinators, project managers, planners, buyers, engineers, fabrication personnel, freight forwarders, and transportation providers to develop and communicate status of project deliverables and schedule shipments. Maintain files on all export transactions in compliance with government and Solar Run monthly budget reports for project managers and project engineers. Assist project managers in updating budget information within BaaN for their assigned projects. Act as a mentor and provide guidance to less experiences staff
