Provided a welcoming and consistent experience for guests by ensuring the product is set, in stock, accurately priced, and signed on the sales floor. Worked with two different freshmen groups, the class of 2023 (August 2019 - May 2020) and the class of 2024 (August 2020 - May 2021). Due to the pandemic, everything was virtual. The math tutor counselor position included multiple roles such as a math teaching assistant and a peer counselor. As a math tutor counselor, I provided supplemental instruction and academic support for students in the math course during the summer program. I attended all online classes and took notes on the lectures/class discussions. I planned and instructed lessons that would reinforce the math concepts they had gone over in class and/or math concepts that would supplement what they were learning. I held one-on-one/group tutoring sessions online through WebEx. I also worked alongside with the other tutor counselors to create online activities to get to know and create a bond with the incoming freshman. I arrived on campus earlier than needed with the other tutor counselors to get to know the students and prepared team building/academic workshops while still following the safety COVID-19 policies.
