About Ming H.
My body of work is centered around neuroscience research. I am an instructor in the department of neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine. I’ve dedicated my career to understanding how the brain works, from molecular to systems level and the functional integration of such levels. Before my work focused on neuroscience, I was trained as an applied physicist. This gave me a broad knowledge base in physics/mathematics and skill sets in electric engineering and programming. After I obtained my Ph.D in systems neuroscience, I have worked at the University of Texas at Houston and the Picower Institute for learning and memory at MIT, during which I gained a deeper understanding of cell-type specific neural population coding and computation with extensive experiences in multi-channel neurophysiology and multi-photon imaging.I am looking to collaborate with people who have expertise in Physics, Mathematics, Machine learning, electric/optical/software engineering, and who want to bring their expertise in neuroscience to help understand the brain and to bring neuroscience research to use.
