• Led a team of five engineers to productize eight projects. • Led and developed the sports video summarization project (CyberLink MagicSports), which won Consumer Electronics Show (CES) best innovation award honoree in 2007. This product was tested with hundreds of sports games (thousands of hours of videos) and delivered a high performance in detecting sports events (both recall and precision rates are above 95%). • Developed a commercial detection algorithm, an audio noise reduction algorithm, a sports video summarization module, and a home video summarization algorithm. These algorithms/modules are currently used in varied CyberLink products. • Implemented/optimized H.264 decoder and AAC encoder.• Filed fourteen U.S. patent applications and six of them were granted as U.S. patents. • Built auto-testing process for varied algorithms. This auto-testing process creates an objective measurement for the performance of video processed algorithms.
