Instructor for EDU 261 Teaching, Learning, & Technology course. Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing curriculum to prepare future educators for 21st century learning best practices. Works in coordination with other faculty to ensure alignment to Colorado Department of Education Course Competencies.

Responsible for developing, implementing and supporting the District's Educational Technology program, and working closely with a variety of central and school based teams, assuring successful implementation of educational technology resources for District staff and students. Leads professional development opportunities for teachers, students, school administrators and school PTA and PTO groups with the intention of improving instruction and future technology purchases. Works with the Digital Teacher Librarian and other members of school-based leadership teams to create lasting structures aimed at producing future professional development opportunities.Researches content pedagogy, materials, trends, tools, and issues related to educational technologyModels 21st century teaching and learning through the effective integration of technology standards, tools and resources into District curriculum.Builds online learning courses and effectively manages a Learning Management System to meet adult learner needs.Communicates with district-level administrators, principals, and teachers through a variety of means.

Instructed students in coordination with a standards based curriculum and within the framework of district and state content standards. Responsible for working cooperatively with students, parents, and staff. Utilized working knowledge of subject matter assigned, classroom management, best practices and strategies, students' learning styles and needs to advance learning for all students.Educational technology representative in the District Technology Leadership Cohort. Responsible for facilitating staff development about 21st century teaching and learning through the effective integration of ISTE standards, tools, and resources according to the SAMR model. Defined and led the introduction of new processes and technologies including iPad use for instruction, Google Classroom, and video recording programs.

Taught grades K-4; designed, developed, implemented, and evaluated lessons according to Common Core Standards set by the Colorado Department of Education. Instruction yielded 98% of students scoring proficient or advanced on the state reading assessment for three years.Collaborated with diverse teams to craft effective instruction based on student data and school-wide goals that yielded 75% consistent growth during trimester assessments for language arts and math.Partnered with teammates and principal to design a balanced grade-level budget on a yearly basis.Facilitated Student Forum, Student Washington D.C. Tour, and Lego Engineering Club.
