APEX Management SystemAdaptive Planning and Execution (APEX) is a system aim to creating tools andprocesses that enable REWS/Google to be more agile, transparent and data-driven inplanning and deciding all employers mobilization, who goes/sits where, when andwhy. APEX includes three core modules: Demand Management (Headcount andnon-headcount spaces), Supply Forecasting (Sourcing from REPA’s mature TPP data)and Match Result(Packman Solver Match and Manual Match).-Participated in analysis, detail design, development, bug fixing, and enhancement of the AdaptivePlanning and Execution (APEX) application for overseeing and optimizing physical space allocationfor Google. Application developed in Agile development methodologies- Designed UI with UX team and developed UI using JavaScript, HTML, SASS and Angular 4+.- Produced and implemented technical design, backend and frontend logic of automatic space planningfor over 30 product groups, 34K seats, 300 buildings and 18M square foot of Google.-Developed project in test-driven method, wrote unit test cases; tested, debugging, maintained,integration and improved APEX application.-Extracted space supply and headcount demand data from backend using Java and SQL; improvedthe final match scenario result from ~80% to 95+% by designing dynamic scoring function.- Interacted closely with Google’s stakeholders in application requirement gathering and functiondesigning including APIs and data models.- Acquired Google Java coding readability certification, review and comment code for best practices.
