The Barista/Team Members at Caribou are responsible for greeting and chatting while creating a positive and energetic atmosphere and develop personal ongoing relationships with regular guests. We prepare beverages and serve food products according to Caribou’s policies and procedures and stock and organize store merchandise, as needed. We ensure the dining area is clean and well maintained at all times. We take guest orders and efficiently ring sales using the Point Of Sale (POS) system and manage cash drawer and follow all cash handling policies and procedures.

As an educational intern I was responsible for organizing the Raya program and placing all volunteers properly in place for the after school program that runs Monday through Thursday every week. I also prepared and distributed educational material for each Raya site. I was also responsible for taking care of the site leaders and assuring that they were well equipped and prepped for each lesson day. I was also one of the site leaders

An eight week internship in Malindi, Kenya where I worked with a grade school connected with a local orphanage. After a week of training and information, I was given my own class of 8-10 year olds and taught all subjects (math, science, english and reading, social studies) and during their Swahili lessons, I sat in and joined them to learn a little on my own. On the weekends I helped care for the children at the local orphanage in that is in partnership withe private school that I taught at. I spent the day playing sports or doing arts with the children during the afternoons. During this time, I lived with a homestay family to help immerse myself into the culture.

I took a summer internship position with the Journey Church of Atlanta. I was titled an 'officer' of the college ministry and was responsible for planning and organizing all the summer events and upholding the organization of the church's summer ministry. I worked closely alongside four other officers and the college Pastor.
