A product, either hardware such as a base station, or software such as a system improvement patch, undergoes intensive development and testing before it is able to be delivered to customer. But because of communication system's complicated nature, it is almost impossible for a testing team to cover all testing scenarios, and it's very difficult to setup a lab to exactly simulate a real site as well. A First Office Application engineer is the last and most critical gate keeper stands behind our products, who is responsible for the setup and operation testing/debugging for the first-time product delivery, all over the world.A FOA engineer assumes 2 roles. First he is expected to coordinate with customer, local service team, and developers/testers in our R&D center, to make product delivery as smooth as possible. Further than that, he is assumed to be able to handle any technical contingencies and solve problems as fast as possible during product delivery such that existing service will not be disturbed.
