After more than 25 years in senior roles in Investment Banking and Corporate Finance, I remain passionate about what I do.I continue to enjoy:1. Problem solving and strategic thinking (including thinking out of the box) in order to generate values, unlock intrinsic values, and "monetize" investments;2. Driving research, mentoring / coaching ECM principals and managing relationships with sell-side clients and buy-side clients (who include family offices, private equity funds, VC funds, institutional funds, sovereign wealth funds and corporate investors); and3. Managing and executing transactions.And part of the enjoyment comes from learning new things, meeting new people and working on new challenges, in other words, managing change, managing people. I believe that:i. deals should be buy-side driven i.e. identify deals, transactions, investments that the buy-side wants; ii. deals should also be research-driven i.e. using research to anticipate changes, identify trends, and commercially exploit opportunities.I particularly enjoy bringing Australia to Asia, and Asia into Australia, which is why I thrive in cross-border deals, especially given my wealth of experience and network in Asia. I am looking forward to the next challenge.
