At the helm of Refugee Artisan Initiative (RAI), a non-profit that partners with refugee and immigrant women as they work to achieve economic stability, my leadership has been pivotal in crafting sustainable job opportunities for refugee and immigrant women, leveraging over 7.5 years of experience in community engagement and nonprofit management. At RAI, artisans overcome barriers to employment through skills and micro business training while handcrafting goods from recycled materials. This innovative circular economy model champions both equity and sustainability. As a founder, advocacy for civil rights and community service has been a driving force behind my efforts. My tenure with the Chinese American Citizens Alliance has been marked by the establishment of a robust board and the spearheading of initiatives that foster service, leadership and champion the rights of the Chinese American community. I have been recognized for my leadership and commitment to my communities with numerous awards and accolades from both private and public sectors.
