Current• Administer, provide backup and recovery processes, and design and development work for ETL processes and data models in an Oracle 10-12, SQL Server 2008-2014 environment. Serve as an individual contributor or manage ad hoc teams of internal employees or external consultants based upon scope and timelines. • Selected as a team member for a key data warehousing project. Supported the team working with Kimball methodology, SSIS and Subversion.• Currently developing a series of dashboards for the executive team running off the data warehouse for use in performance metrics and providing advanced drill down reports to aid in decision-making.Selected Achievements• Revised source code from a defunct vendor package resolving incompatibility with new ordinance changes, generating millions of dollars in annual revenues. • Eliminated a previous manual process for insertion of SQL scripts in previous builds for evaluation or possible reuse.• Developed a configurable SQL Server database with event notification to automate and aid with database administration tasks, including automated backup and recovery processes.• Minimized development and testing turnaround times with extensive use of modular design and reusable code.• Contributed to cost reductions with data optimization and storage strategies, employing improved planning and technological enhancements.• Saved $100K in annual SQL Server and Oracle licensing fees through database consolidation.• Provided in-house conversion services for Oracle database to SQL Server within two weeks. The project was estimated by outside vendors at $80K with a three-month turnaround.
