Graduate study at Carnegie Mellon University do help me apply advanced technology in traditional civil engineering field. After gaining a basic understanding from undergraduate courses and internships, I realized that I should apply my knowledge to practical projects. So, I participated in bridge design projects as much as possible and gained solid design, drawing, and management skills. After I became a project leader and intermediate bridge engineer, I realized that I needed to broaden my horizons, learn new technologies and get into larger-scale projects. That's why I came to CMU and took courses like machine learning and digital twins, focosing on new methods on structural design, inspection, maintenance and construction.I want to work as a civil engineer as I am always interested in and apply my knowledge and experience to more practical projects.
