Senior Vice President, Global Intellectual Property
CurrentLead and manage the global intellectual property group of a $2.3 billion international pharmaceutical company, including management of all patent litigation in the United States, Europe, Australia, Canada, and Japan. Lead an international team of over 50 members in three countries. Strategically develop claims and defenses in patent litigation in a variety of U.S. and international forums to ensure global success. Negotiate and document patent litigation settlements. Strategic and tactical manager of Lupin’s generic, brand, biosimilar, and NCE intellectual property matters. Generic patent matters include solid oral dosage forms and complex generics, including inhalation, proteins, and injectables. Additional responsibilities include managing all U.S. and international patent applications and prosecution and intellectual property due diligence. Collaborate with research and development, regulatory, clinical, sales and marketing and other stakeholders to achieve the company’s mission and maximize profits. Lead company legal representative to AAM in connection with patent legislation and amicus briefs. Primary legal advisor with respect to U.S and international regulatory legal matters, including exclusivity counseling and litigation and development and implementation of REMS. Develop and manage substantial global IP budget.
