As a medical anthropologist, my work focuses on the social dimensions of illness and health. I have explored topics such as health-related social inequality, mental and social vulnerability grief among children and youth, adolescent cancer, and the impacts of severe illness or death on academic and social contexts for children and young people. Rooted in ethnographic methods, my expertise lies in analyzing social and societal issues with a strong ethical focus. My PhD research is dedicated to exploring and developing psycho-social support for families affected by pediatric cancer. Currently, I am leading a national study in Denmark to assess the impact of school-based social support for siblings of children with cancer.
