Current• NVIS manufactures professional virtual reality (VR) displays that allow users to visually explore and interact with simulated 3D environments. Displays, that can be found in the most demanding simulations for use in military, commercial, medical, and education research & training applications around the world.• Responsible for managing all product development activities for NVIS branded products including state-of-the-art nVisor family of head-mounted displays as well as custom projects for developing simulated military devices including virtual laser range finders, digital periscopes, simulated artillery siting systems, and virtual riflescopes for multiple major defense contractors. • Closely work with, and manage, multi-disciplinary engineering team (Mechanical, Optical, and Electrical) both internal and external through all phases of product development up until product release for production.• Co-Inventor of multiple optical design patents for near-to-eye displays. Co-authoured papers and presented new technology at conferences.• As an extremely hands-on principal product engineer, designed and developed initial product line (still being sold). It has been a great sense of pride (and fun) designing, developing, assembling, and shipping the very first product from home for the startup NVIS, and subsequently playing key roles in developing other products to help build the company to be a top leader in its field with sustained high growth to be listed with inc5000 for five years in row.
