I'm looking for opportunities to get more experience in the field of psychology and writing. I’m currently attending Wright State University in pursuit of a Clinical Psychology PsyD, with a projected graduation date in 2029. In May 2024, I graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and double minors in Creative Writing and Literature.I’ve completed an internship at Minds in Action Counseling and finished working as a Biosound Therapy Tech for Minds at Ease Biosound Therapy. I previously worked as the Marketing Director for UTDTV which is UTD’s student media broadcast program, and I’ve worked as a writer for UTD’s AMP magazine. I have a passion for psychology, poetry and writing, and I am always looking to learn more. I'm hard working, dedicated, and involved in my community.Outside of school, I am a Black Belt in Isshinryu Karate, and currently work as an instructor at Texas Isshinryu Karate Kai's East Plano Dojo location. I also manage their social media accounts. I recently joined as Public Relations Coordinator and serve as a board member for Empty Hand Open Heart, which is a nonprofit organization to help victims of domestic violence and sex-trafficking. In high school I worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) through my school district's work-study program for 2 years, and have worked in many locations in the DFW area and in departments such as the ER, OR, nursing homes and on ambulances. I'm well-versed in medical knowledge and have spent 200+ hours as a CNA alongside 80+ hours volunteering at the Medical City Plano hospital.I have won international awards twice for Extemporaneous Writing through HOSA (1st in 2022, and 2nd in 2023). I have also competed and won 3 international awards for karate (1st in kata/routine 2022, 1st in kumite/fighting 2019, 2nd in kata/routine 2019).I am also a Girl Scout Gold Award Recipient (2020) for my project offering free women's self-defense classes for the community.One of my main hobbies is creating pyrography (woodburning) art, and I am an avid reader.
