The Tertiary Information Service (TIS) is a collective of Universities, TAFE institutes and Independent Tertiary Colleges helping students prepare for future careers through free events around Victoria. We work closely with the state’s careers practitioners to promote further education as an option for secondary students when they leave school. As a part of the TIS Executive Committee, we seek and review feedback from attending schools to ensure the TIS presentation continues to meet the needs of final year secondary students looking to prepare for their future careers.Responsibilities:• Contributing to the delivery of initiatives, improvements, and delivery of TIS events across regional Victoria and interstate for high schools and organising and delivering TIS Orientation and Professional Development Days for student recruiters across Victorian tertiary providers.• Liaising between tertiary representatives, the Executive and Management Committees.• Managing TIS social media platforms and website to provide engaging and timely information to the appropriate audience segments.

Responsibilities:• Implementing Schools Engagement Strategy by managing the northern and western metro regions of Melbourne and regional Victoria, fostering relationships with career practitioners by building engagement opportunities and resolving course and VTAC inquiries promptly and accurately.• Developing a tailored engagement strategy and an annual recruitment calendar for targeted schools using VTAC and enrolment data along with enrolment priorities for courses and market intelligence to grow student numbers. This also extends to providing data-driven advice on school outreach and marketing activities to the broader university.• Attending diverse recruitment activities offering guidance on study opportunities and graduate outcomes to prospective students and influencers.• Coordinating on-campus visits, campus tours, study area focused workshops, and presentations to secondary school students and their influencers by ensuring school visits are tailored to each school based on the engagement strategy and attending student cohort.• Collaborating with internal stakeholders, managing, and coordinating student ambassadors and contributing to efficient operation of the team by practicing high-level communication skills and organisational skills.• Managing the creation and development of Swinburne’s monthly career practitioner newsletter and Swinburne’s dynamic schools recruitment presentation.• Efficient use of Salesforce, CRM, student record management, data analytics, Adobe and Microsoft software for informed decision making, strategy planning and to perform effectively on the job.

Responsibilities:• Provide excellent customer service to future students in-person, over the phone and via email.• Gather information to provide accurate and up-to-date eligibility and pathways advice to prospective students across a range of course options at all study levels.• Provide application assistance and assist the students with requests / information from the admissions teams.• Collaborate with relevant professional and academic staff to gather detailed and consistent course information and provide feedback on inaccurate and inconsistent information on the Swinburne web pages.• Contribute to the achievement of agreed enrolment targets. Achieved a target of 108% for the Semester 1, 2022 intake.• Identify and develop opportunities for continuous improvement within the Recruitment function by being a key contributor to the Standard Text Refresh Project and the Staff Onboarding Training Plan. • Efficient use of student record management systems, course application system and CRM to perform effectively on the job.

- Provide excellent customer service to students regarding their enrolment, in an informative yet empathetic manner.- Handle a range of enrolment activities including the timely processing of all enrolment-related requests made by students.- Proactively respond to general enrolment enquiries and liaise with the broader University community when necessary.- Provide clear advice and options, as well as providing resolutions for enquiries, in a timely manner directed to customer needs.

As a student partner, I collaborate with projects under Student Engagement. Currently I am engaged with creating and delivering a pre-orientation program for commencing students at Swinburne.

• Managed student mentor networks and addressed inquiries.• Developed and delivered training for student mentors and volunteers. • Organised and executed events for students engaged in the mentor program.• Prepared and facilitated regular project updates to stakeholders. Achievements:• I played a key role in developing a new mentoring and orientation program during a departmental restructure. Over this staff transition period, I shared responsibilities as an acting project officer for the new Peer Mentoring Program to strategically maintain the progress of the project to meet its launch in 2020.

As a Swinburne Student Ambassador, my role involves working alongside the Marketing and Student Recruitment team to promote Swinburne at a wide range of events. This includes,- schools visits and presentations- providing campus tours- talking to prospective students at exhibitions and events

During my temporary involvement over the peak period at the start of the semester with the Library and the Student HQ at Swinburne, my role as a concierge was a key highlight. My job was to deliver a high level of customer service to students with their inquiries. My extensive experience as a peer support assistant over the past few years at Swinburne helped me with being successful in this role and enhanced the quality of service and information provided to the students.

As a result of the COVID pandemic, Lysander has converted the face to face workshops to a virtual delivery. My role as a virtual producer is to manage the technical delivery of these virtual sessions, run via Adobe Connect.

My primary role as a unit-specific study group leader for ENG10001 - Engineering, Design and Innovation is to encourage discussion and mentor students by providing assistance and advice with their Engineers Without Borders - Humanitarian Engineering Project Plans which is a major assessment in this unit of study.This is an initiative by the Office of the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Student Engagement) to contribute to easing the transition into university for first-year students by encouraging them to establish study groups to discuss assignments, syllabus content and general study tips.

My role at SLTC included the following responsibilities,- Providing assistance with marketing operations.- Compiling data into weekly reports to review the progress of marketing team.- Providing course advice information to potential students and followed-up with their enrolments. + A significant achievement of my role was initiating the use of G Suite as an online student contact management system where the entire team was able to check for updates on the enrolment pipeline.
