Payment Processing System Engineer
Current• Primarily focus on areas that will promote the stability and quality of payment systems.• Operational Management of Applications – perform configuration changes, upgrades, backups, administration of users & roles, performance monitoring and problem investigation.• Perform performance monitoring and capacity planning to ensure the applications continue to operate at the required service levels.• Monitor the technical environment (hardware, software, networks and operational processes) to ensure compliance requirements (primarily PCIDSS) are met.• Provide expert hands-on engineering technical support and guidance. This includes 24x7 on-call capability.• Take a lead role in working with cross-functional project teams, system support teams and consumers of banking systems.• Collaborate effectively with cross functional stakeholders and teams, sharing information and knowledge effectively.• Use experience and insights to suggest new tools or methodologies whereby the Bank could automate systems or improve productivity.• Assist with vendor evaluation, recommendation and negotiations — especially with regard to payment requirements.• Ensure that availability SLAs are met by carefully planning any necessary outages, advising others if you suspect that any proposed changes could adversely affect production environments.• Interact with staff at both technical and strategic level, as required.• Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans.• Actively participate in adding to the team’s shared documentation resources by writing clearly any support procedures, best practices or other pertinent information.• Actively maintain topology and similar diagrams for systems especially those relating to payment systems.• Perform configuration of CardSuite Frontend and Backoffice servers.• Conduct certifications with Visa & Mastercard.• Test new mandatory changes fixes and communicate with vendor engineers.
