Currently working on Napa: a new peta-scale, multi-homed, distributed storage engine optimized for high-update throughput of metrics data. It is the next generation of Mesa, but built from scratch. Napa offers:● Better query and ingestion performance● Higher cost and resource efficiency● Higher scalability● Faster schema changesI work mostly on high throughput and low latency data ingestion.

● Worked on Google's distributed data warehousing system for ads metrics.● Improved the latency of data ingestion for small updates via in-memory batching.

● Implemented a Wordpress based CMS to easily manage media for Bloomberg Customer Service Portal.● Exposed a REST API to automatically update the website with new information without developer intervention.

● Design and development of features for Quantium’s web based customer insights reporting tool called Checkout ( https://checkout.quantium.com.au ).● Backend programming using C#, SQL Server and clientside using Javascript & AngularJS.● Built a visual analytics platform using Ruby on Rails within 4 months. Components included data import from excel/csv, basic data cleaning and the ability to visualize geo-tagged data.

● Worked at Centre of Computational Natural Sciences and Bioinformatics. I developed a matrix-based approach to represent base pairings in RNA sequences and use matrix matching algorithms to find novel structures in RNA.
