About Miracle Stokes

Hello! I am Human Development and Family Science graduate from the University of North Texas. Since I have been at this school, I have always strived in my career and classes. I have joined organizations on the road to my career. Leaving my mark of a noble student with my professors. I have worked three jobs here in Denton. The jobs have all corresponded with children and families. My first job in Denton at the CDL has taught me patience. The children at the CDL are in child care centers for the first time and it is up to me as the assistant teacher to make them enjoy their time spent there. I also had many student teachers come in and watch the way I interacted with the children. While working at the elementary school I have learned how to deal with conflict regarding parents and children. I have also picked up skills while being a lead instructor. Currently working for the department of HHSC, I have been able to collaborate with the directors, caregivers, and law enforcement on ensure that the care for children meets the standards set by the state of Texas Commissioner. I’m my role as a child life specialist, I have been able to apply knowledge from workshops and the policies to remain professional and provide exceptional support. I have built numerous lifelong friendships and bonds with these families and co-workers. Expertly leading individual and group activities to encourage learning and developing social interaction skills. Driven to inspire and teach children to be respectful, patient and positive. Enjoys being a team player in a diverse working environment.
