As Head of Pension and Benefits I am responsible for devising and delivering the strategy for these two key areas. The role partners with the People and Finance directorates as well as the Pension Trustee Board to ensure appropriate strategies and operational support is provided. In addition, I implement all the pension and benefits related projects, oversee the secretariat and governance for the Trustee Board, manage relationship between the Trustees of the Charity and Pension Plan, manage all the related suppliers and budgets. I am a member of the Finance and People senior management teams and involved in wider HR strategy.

I am responsible for managing all Mencap pension arrangements including implementation of auto enrolment. This includes - delivery of a professional, high quality and efficient service to the scheme members; managing providers; providing strategic input on pension related matters to the Executive and Trustees of the Charity; being the liaison between the Charity and the Pension Trustee Board; and providing secretarial and scheme governance function to the Pension Trustee Board - through leadership of the in-house pension function.

Developed a new role whilst remaining within the Administration Operations Leadership team, to set up and run a risk framework for the business, ensure governance in place, manage internal relationships, oversee business communication cascades, implement consistent operational policies and talent management programs.

As part of the Administration Operations leadership team, successfully led the pension administration services across two locations servicing over 150 clients and 200 employees. Responsibility included contributing to the strategic direction, client and people management, delivery of high quality service, accountability for the P&L and optimising the profitability of the offices concerned,

Epsom

Contributed to the overall strategy of the benefits business, marketing/new business and relationship management. In addition, led the Epsom location across clients with overall accountability for the delivery of all aspects of pension administration services (ongoing administration, technical function, accounts and payroll) from a financial, client, people and operational perspective.
