Hr Intern
Latrobe, Pennsylvania, United States
During my internship, I analyzed and presented wage and employment data for 5 of our locations, directly impacting the wages of over 70 employees. I created criteria to measure skills that accompany wage progressions to provide the opportunity and incentivize employees to increase their skillset and improve performance. I coordinated and planned logistics for an employee appreciation food truck event that required collaboration with the vendor, managers, and supervisors to accommodate for about 520 employees spanning 3 different sites at our facility with varying/rotating shift times. I completed the entire hiring and onboarding process (Workday) from resume review, testing and interviewing candidates, to completing their new hire paperwork, giving trainings, and providing necessary materials during their first week. I assisted with our ongoing recruitment efforts for some of our locations, which included attending job fairs, advertising job openings in newspapers and online, and assisting with flier distribution. Additionally, I completed various HR tasks such as conducting internal I-9 audits to ensure federal compliance, updating job descriptions, logging vacation information for payroll (Kronos), and updating employee filing.
