As Director of Meetings and Events for Alpha Phi Omega I am responsible for executing all logistical details for yearly conferences as well as our biennial National Convention. I act as the liaison between hoteliers and various vendors as well as between hoteliers and planning committees. I carry out sourcing and contracting procedures for all of our meetings. I also manage event technology such as mobile apps, registration forms and room block management systems. Finally, I am responsible for tracking all conference spending and managing the budget set by our Board of Directors.

While managing accounts I handled the detailed coordination of the wedding day including the ceremony and reception. I directed rehearsals and led a catering staff of 8. I conducted sales appointments and provided facts regarding the venue's offerings and policies resulting in 5 signed event contracts for the following year. I achieved a conversion rate of 60% with potential new clients.
