I worked my way up from Receptionist to Front Office Supervisor within the first 8 months after hire. A year and a half after hire, I graduated with my Medical Billing and Coding Certificate and was promoted. The owners decided to transfer the billing to be in-house instead of using the outside billing company due to my education and experience. In the first year, the employee that I trained and myself brought several thousand dollars more into the company than the billing company did the previous year. In October 2013 I was promoted to Assistant Office Manager then shortly after to Office Manager. When I told the owner in January 2014 that I made a decision to move closer to my sister in San Diego with a move date of February 28th 2014, they offered me a substantial raise in order to stay with their office and I couldn't help but accept it. The summer of 2014, 2 employees went on 12 week maternity leave and another out 2 weeks to be married which put an extra 2 employees' work on my already busy and stressful workload. Unfortunately, due to the extended hours and workload, the stress and exhaustion became too much that I was in a horrific car accident. After that, I ended up losing my position due to being unable to sit and/or perform my job functions.
