While the larger sales team were focussed elsewhere, I was the first OEM sales person focussed on developing an analog strategy in semi-conductor sales in the consumer industry. My direct clients were large manufacturers, who were developing new product in their R & D Divisions. As a leader in understanding Consumer technology potential, I had to be across the market. The technology waves were rolling over the consumer market with ever increasing strength, the growth in the market, the global impact, the product strategy; that was where I focussed my attention so that we could offer and fulfil on solutions that would grow the business over time. It was fast moving and essential to work smart as there was high competition. Distribution was focussed on the highest priority so developing the internal relationships was also key. There was no attention paid to regular meetings, I didn’t really get looked after. I worked tirelessly to create outcomes, even when it was said that it couldn’t be done, even if it was to 3:00am and when there were global shortages.Because of my results, from a single product in the customer buying list from TI to a diversified range of products delivered to their company, TI achieved the #1 market share among their competition. The revenue achievement was from less than $1M to $10M in 2 years’ time. Because of the Account penetration strategy I initiated, across the broad range of product lines into multiple new customers and consumer market, I achieved a whole new level of engagement due to my leadership role in a large virtual team environment. For these achievements, I was awarded the BEST INFLUENCER AWARD for the TI China Annual Sales meeting. Show less
