Achieving an Interior Design Degree from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising along with 1 year of specialized training in Art and Furniture Design from Lane Community College, has allowed me to conquer the tools necessary to be successful in the field of Interiors.Training Includes: Survey of Architecture, Design/Art theory and fundamentals, 3D Design, Technical Drawing, Sketching, Lighting Design, Textile Science, Materials for Interior Design, Human Factors, Business Practices, Digital Presentation, Computer Graphics, Digital Modeling, Residential/Commercial ConceptsTech Programs: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, AutoCAD, and SketchUp to create complete presentations for a client that would represent the design outcome.Notables: Has practiced using ADA guidelines in my designs for commercial projects and special residential projects.Social Media Platforms: Instagram, Twitter, FacebookSocial Media Ambassador: Shared information to audience in a creative format, through pictures, videos, and graphics, and collaborated with my peers that were from different majors.Student Council Member: Helped organize school events which comprised of creating themes, designing decorations, hosting games, giving away prizes, sticking to budget, and obtaining food and drinks.FIDM Mode Magazine: Co Beauty Director that designed 6 makeup and hair looks that coincided with the creative brief to be featured in Issue 15 of FIDM Mode.Personal Interests: I am an artist that likes to paint, cook, and thrift shop to have free creative reigns. I am inspired by designers like Martyn Lawrence Bullard and Nick Alain. Aside from design, I also enjoy fitness and health which has led me to create better habits, take initiative when reaching a goal, and appreciate doing research when purchasing a product.Big Picture Goals: To work in the Interior Design Industry and be able to use my love for art and creativity in other aspects of design to excel in interiors. I am currently seeking a position in which I can space plan, select art, materials, furnishings, and fixtures while still learning, growing, and collaborating with the design team. I would prefer being in a role in which I can be involved in the design process from start to finish and can begin work immediately.
