In 2011, after ten years in the workforce, I returned to college to pursue a degree in the medical field. I completed my associate's degree in Radiologic Technology from Kilgore College in 2015 and began working as a Radiologic Technologist in Jackson, MS in January of 2016. Over the last 6 years I have been promoted to Tech II, volunteered as a clinical instructor for the local community college, and have cross trained in CT and Special Procedures. In July of 2022 I began cross training in the Cardiac Cath Lab, and in November of 2022 I made a facility change to move fully into the Cath Lab. In my first year in the lab I'm not only learning general cardiac catheterization procedures, but peripheral and structural procedures as well.
