With a direct focus on the Career Technical Education (CTE) program, I have experience working closely with teachers and district administrators on advocating for the success of our CTE programs. In addition, I play an important role being an administrative assistant for the CTE program by completing high level tasks and communicating with all other departments to ensure the CTE program’s success. I oversee the purchasing process of materials for our teachers from the start to end, with ensuring all purchases follow federal and state grant guidelines.

Acacia Counseling and Wellness was acquired by Mindpath Health in March of 2022, which is when I transitioned from being a business administrative assistant to an accounting assistant. As an accounting assistant, I oversaw the company wide expense system Concur. I managed the expense reports, updated guidelines within Concur, and edited employee profiles. I created learning materials to be used for new hires, or employees new to using Concur, which was distributed to more than 300+ staff. I also created weekly reimbursement reports in Excel to give to Payroll.

During my time with Acacia Counseling and Wellness, I paved the way as a new position that assisted the Chief Business Officer. The tasks I would carry out were filing Fictitious Business Names and Business License/Tax forms, creating an online mail organization system for remote employees, maintain the daily operations of our central business office, research various tax and state notices, oversee the ROOTS scholarship program which provides scholarships to college students for counseling services, and any additional business related tasks.

Oversee operations related to youth care department including but not limited to Kids Korner and Kids Zone, birthday parties, parents night out, after school enrichment, and community program events. Manage a team of 30+ entry level and bright individuals and help them develop training plans and personal development goals to help effectively staff youth care programs. Collaborated on creating a data management tool to predict high to low levels of member usage traffic, and other trends, for Kids Korner and Kids Zone. Successfully planned a 10 week summer camp during COVID-19 by creating innovative, creative, and safe activities that abided by county health standards and having zero cases or outbreaks. Currently developing curriculum for child care programs and learning how to be an effective group leader educator during school closures and online courses for students K-6 grade.

My vision for creating this position was to tackle years of debt that our team accumulated before I joined the team along with establishing more positions of accountability between team leaders, athletes, and coaches. I successfully raised thousands of dollars to break out of the debt cycle, along with providing opportunities for team players to pay off existing membership fees. Additionally, I created flyers and media for the team.

The teaching internship is a blended program that focuses on assisting classroom curriculum and discussions for Japanese college students and hosting English class for Japanese elementary students once a week. With little to no knowledge of Japanese, I utilized my artistic ability and collaborated with my fellow teaching assistants in providing elementary English lessons. In assisting the college students, teaching assistants helped Japanese students with practicing their English through public speaking and writing assignments.
