Quakecon is North Americas largest LAN event where people can bring their own computers to celebrate the art of gaming. Quakecon is put together and run in the majority by volunteers like me, we setup everything that isn't already part of the building and tear it all down after the event even watching for problems that may arise in the middle of things. We are the people on main stage during tournament computer change outs as well as those that you ask your computer support questions to at BYOC. Some of the volunteers aren't even seen during the event at all because of what our positions involve. If you haven't had a chance to come to Quakecon and volunteer really are missing out, this is the one event every year that we look forward to over SIX MONTHS in advance. The event has a life of its own and everyone can feel it when they show up on Monday morning (yes Monday, three full days before the event starts) and begin to run/tape cables, test circuits, setup switches and prepare security for the massive (12,000) amount of people that are about to come through the doors. I am responsible for maintaining the network for several thousand subscribers on both cable and wireless network systems. I also design, order, and implement new network expansions any time they are requested.

I was a lighting intern for Denver Center for the Performing Arts. I worked under Charles McCloud and found the experience very rewarding. I worked for this company for about 4 months though im not exactly sure when it was. When I find a more exact time I will correct the date.
