The ICAEW is a statutory regulator for accountants, including setting standards for and regulating their provision of reserved legal services / probate work. I Chair the Committee of ten lay and technical members. We cover policy matters, authorise probate accreditation and make decisions on a case load of breaches of regulations to ensure that accountants are properly registered, authorised and are conducting their probate business properly.

I oversee and make decisions on the outcome of performance assessments of JPs, and sanctions when conduct issues require.
