AboutI am Miranda Dexter (she/her), an Assistant Psychologist in Acute Inpatient Psychology at Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust.AspirationsMy dream is to be accepted onto the Clinical Psychology Doctorate and work within Neuropsychology. This is something I have been interested in for a long time. I initially start my undergraduate as a joint honours Biology/Psychology student, later dropping Biology so I could continue to focus on Psychology. However, I maintained my interest in Biological aspects of Psychology, particular Neuropsychology. This led me to study Brain Imaging with the University of Nottingham. Some things about me outside of Psychology- I am currently self-teaching myself Italian, this is for two reasons. 1. I love Italy, and everything it has to offer (obviously including the food!) and it is something I have always wanted to do but told myself I do not have the time. So, I am making the time for it now, I am open to any tips to help me on this journey!2. We are living in a world that is constantly evolving, and this includes opportunities for people globally who may not have the opportunity to learn another language so I must make myself professionally as accessible as possible. For this reason, I also intend to take British Sign Language classes at some point this year, and it is something I am actively looking into. If anyone has any recommendations or information about BSL please drop me a message.- I am an amateur cook and baker! Nothing brings me more joy than putting ingredients together and making something amazing, but what is even better is having someone else enjoy one of your creations!- I am a bit of geek, in my spare time I enjoy and engage in gaming, cosplay and lots more.Connect with meSend me a message if you would like to connect!
