In this busy and varied role I am responsible for retail and trade marketing for tiles and tiling products, for Tile Space, Midas Tiles & Tile Clearance Centre brands, working with a wide range of stakeholders and reporting to the Managing Director. Day to day I plan and execute marketing strategy, brand development and communications.

A wide ranging role including managing tasks from brand development to trade marketing, I was primarily responsible for the development and execution of brand communications, working with outside agencies including creative, digital and marketing research agencies, reporting to the Managing Director and our Sales & Marketing Consultant. A key achievement in this role was managing a rebrand from Heritage Tiles to Tile Space.

Responsible for marketing communications including PR, advertising, sponsorship, regatta promotion, newsletters, website content, social media and digital advertising. One of my key achievements was taking our YouTube channel from 1,500 to over 170,000 views.

I managed the promotion of Weta Trimarans across the United States, Australia and New Zealand, working closely with our network of distributors to implement our marketing strategy. Directly responsible for website content and management, social media management, trade shows, PR and editorial across global sailing media and graphic design for print and web advertising.

Campaign to qualify for the Olympic Games in the women’s single handed class the Laser Radial.• Raised $30,000 in sponsorship and donations, learnt valuable skills in cold calling, making presentations, speech making and sponsor management. • Organized all my own logistics and budgeting over 6 week trips to Europe for competitions. • I learned valuable people skills and team work, Although I was sailing a single handed class I had to work within a squad so that we could reach world cup standard. I had to work with a wide range of different people, from marketing managers to officials from Yachting New Zealand in my search for funding. • Managed my training plans, fitness plans, nutrition, goal setting and evaluation.

I also managed the factory for short stints when required and managed the polish shop.
