I am an award winning journalist, broadcast news producer, corporate writer and founder of the strategic communications company, Media Masters. I work to preserve and expand brand awareness of a company's reputation in the marketplace through communication strategies in the mainstream media, digital media and community outreach. My expertise includes management messaging, executing communications strategies and excellent verbal and written communications skills. I began my career in the media in 1990 as a producer for the NBC capital news bureau while still in journalism school at the University of Texas at Austin. From college, I went on to work for NBC affiliate stations in Louisiana, South Carolina and Houston as an award-winning investigative reporter, anchor and producer. I created Media Masters out of my desire to teach others what I learned in the newsroom working with spokespeople, public relations professionals and marketers. My media relations strategies are designed to help the media tell a client's story in the most effective way possible. As the creator and presenter of two State Bar of Texas Continuing Legal Education ethics courses, I am recognized as a litigation communication expert and I develop comprehensive communications strategies with an eye to potential future litigation.
