About Mira Park

From sweeping historical romances to K-pop crushes, I've edited them all! My first job out of college was at Dorchester Publishing (imprints: Leisure and Love Spell books), where I learned all the ins and outs of the romance publishing industry. After that job, I worked for a bit on culinary books at John, Wiley & Sons and then went back to romances, this time sweet ones, at Avalon Books. I spent 5 years there, both as an assistant editor and editor. Some of my authors still remember when I offered them their first book deal! I have loved seeing them flourish in their writing careers, making the USA Today and NY Times bestseller lists. Carolyn Brown, Lisa Mondello, and Kathryn Quick are just some of the great authors we discovered at Avalon.Since July of 2021 I have been a full-time freelance book editor and my schedule has been filled with interesting work both from Reedsy.com and major publishing houses like Penguin/Random House and Harlequin. I have edited over a million words since I’ve started freelancing full-time and thankfully the work has been steady so far. I am also a freelance editor for Radish Fiction, an online episodic platform like Wattpad. I have edited over 250 episodes for My K-Pop Secret, a popular original romance series commissioned by Radish.I have 4 five-star reviews on Reedsy.com (https://reedsy.com/mira-park) as well as numerous positive reviews from past clients. I am skilled at proofreading typeset pages using Adobe Acrobat. Since August 2022, I have proofread one book a month for Penguin/Random House, which range in genre from cookbooks, health/fitness, young adult fiction, gardening and more.
