Student-Staff Partnership Project"Improving Educational Experiences for neurodiverse students."One of the objectives of this project was to gather student perspectives and insights in order to address the need for improving educational experiences for students with neurodiversity by creating resources for staff. One of the broader aims was to be able to create a more inclusive and supportive educational environment that benefits all students. Furthermore, it was also an opportunity to amplify the voices of neurodiverse students who often face challenges within the education system. The goal goes beyond improving inclusivity, but also empowering each student to reach their fullest potential.Role included:- Developing and distributing surveys to students studying in UQ.- Attending weekly/fortnightly meetings with fellow student and staff partners to discuss current progress and future plans.

As the Welfare Director of the Malaysian Students' Council of Australia's (MASCA) Queensland State Chapter, my role includes:- Planning and executing welfare initiatives to support the well-being of Malaysian students residing in Queensland, Australia. This involves coordinating with my team to plan initiatives that can provide a positive impact on Malaysian students.- Representing the interests and concerns of Malaysian students in the state of Queensland, including helping them in the process of advocating for their needs and rights.- In this role, I was also given the opportunity to collaborate closely with the national division of MASCA, also working in coordination with the other state chapters of MASCA in order to achieve or discuss on what our collective objectives are.- Planning initiatives in order to connect new inbound Malaysian students with existing Malaysian students, facilitating smoother cultural assimilation and support during the adjustment period of moving to a foreign country to study.

Student One is a purpose-built student accommodation within Brisbane City. As a Resident Assistant the role required:- Quick thinking and adaptability in handling diverse situations within the settings of student accommodation.- Planning and organizing events for residents, which involves liaising with Resident Life managers and other Resident Assistants within the organisation.- Socialising with fellow students, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for an accommodation that houses a large number of international students from various parts of the world given Australia's diverse international student population.- Cultivating strong communication skills through interaction with other university students along with coordinating effectively with other team members to ensure that events run as seamlessly as possible.- Assuming additional responsibilities in other departments when needed, including driving the shuttle service from the accommodation to the university when needed along with having the opportunity to work at the front desk reception on various occassions.
