Provide engineering solutions, based on code compliance requirements and industry standards, and develop design through all phases for plumbing, fire protection and piping systems for new buildings as well as interior fit-up or renovations/upgrades for low-rise, mid-rise and high-rise, commercial/office buildings, residential, retail, academic (schools and universities), laboratory and hospital facilities, hotels and restaurants, airports, mission critical data centers and industrial facilities.Prepare contract documents—both specifications and drawings coordinated with all trades Review of RFI’s and shop drawings, conduct field inspections and coordination with contractors.Communicate and work with clients, architects and design team, construction team, project managers, and fabrication and installation sub-contractors to achieve timely and accurately the project’s goals.Working knowledge of NYC Building Codes, NYC Fire Code and NFPA documents, of NSPC, UPC, and ASHRE, familiarity with national building codes and standards (ICC) and other national and international industry standards. Computer Skills:        * Proficient in using Sprinklers and Piping Hydraulic calculation software (i.e. HASS, Ellite-Fire).* Proficient in using AutoCAD and Revit MEP for 3D design and Building Modeling.Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Visio, Photoshop, Acrobat in Windows, Mac or Linux environments.Familiarity with Project Resource Management softwareGeneral Skills:Able to balance competing priorities and manage several time-sensitive projects/deals with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment.Able to work independently with minimum supervision and in a highly collaborative team environmentAble to consistently set goals, meet deadlines and flexibly adapt to dynamic project environments
