"Africa was born in me," as late President Kwame Nkrumah once said. I spent most of my career working in or on governance and peacebuilding in Africa. From early recovery in post-conflict Liberia, civil society strengthening in Central Africa, and peacebuilding in Mali and Cameroon, I have grown passionate for the continent and its people's brilliance and resilience. I am currently working as Peace and Development Advisor in Cameroon –Africa in miniature – where I help the United Nations analyze the political context and support local peace actors. I enjoy connecting these actors and enabling them to bring about change in their society.I enjoy working with senior leaders in government and non-profit to influence their decision-making and ultimately drive change. My sense of empathy and critical thinking skills enable me to do that successfully and consistently. My professional skills include programme design and evaluation, political and conflict analyses, policy development, and training facilitation. I am increasingly drawn to the use of big data analytics in peacebuilding but taking baby learning steps. My colleagues would describe me as a driven, empathetic leader with a great sense of integrity. They appreciate my contagious chocolate addiction.
