I am mathematician with M.Sc. and Ph.D. related to geometry. In my work career I have been teaching many subjects related to mathematics for business and technical science, math for interior design studies. Since 2014 I teach mostly courses related to pattern design, geometric patterns in Islamic arts, courses on applied geometry and arts. I teach geometric pattern design at the Istanbul Design Center (http://istanbuldesigncenter.org) where I created The School of Geometric Patterns in Islamic Art. We usually teach 4 courses per year (each 30 teaching hours). I am the author of 12 books, 3 university textbooks about programming, publishing, computer graphics and Islamic geometric ornaments. My three books were published by Springer Verlag in Germany. My new series of tutorial books entitled "Practical Geometric Pattern Design" started in 2018/19 contains step-by-step instructions how to construct specific groups of patterns.
