As part of the Urbani separe collective, I bring culture and green practices to places and communities where they are truly lacking. I do this through long-term, layered, and participatory projects that empower and teach. In this way, I try to create sustainable micro-systems for a strong and truly participatory urban development of Rijeka – in all senses.

As a Commissioning Editor at IntechOpen, I work closely with our collaborators in the selection of book topics for the yearly publishing plan and in preparing new book catalogues for each season. This requires extensive analysis of developing trends in scientific research in order to offer our readers relevant content. Creating the book catalogue is also based on keeping track of the most read, downloaded and highly cited chapters and books and relaunching similar topics. I am also responsible for consulting with our Scientific Advisors on which book topics to add to our catalogue and sending possible book proposal topics to them for evaluation. Once the catalogue is complete, I contact leading researchers in their respective fields and ask them to become possible Academic Editors for each book project. Once an editor is appointed, I prepare all necessary information required for them to begin their work, as well as guide them through the editorship process. I also assist editors in inviting suitable authors to contribute to a specific book project and each year, I identify and invite exceptional editors to join IntechOpen as Scientific Advisors. I am responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with all collaborators to ensure an effective and efficient publishing process and support other departments in developing and maintaining such relationships.

At TANGRAM LANGUAGE SOLUTIONS I am in charge of all language-related services that include tour guide services, teaching, translating, and interpreting into and from Chinese, Croatian, Italian, and English. I personally carry out and supervise each project so that I may deliver a perfect product to my clients.

As a Teaching Assistant at the Juraj Dobrila University of Pula, I conducted teaching and exercise activities related to the Chinese language, which was taught as an elective course.

As a Publishing Process Manager, my responsibilities included monitoring and facilitating all publishing activities for authors and editors. From chapter submission and review, to approval and revision, copy editing and design, until final publication, I worked closely with authors and editors to ensure a simple and easy publishing process. I maintained constant and effective communication with authors, editors and reviewers, which allowed a level of personal support that enabled contributors to fully commit and concentrate on the chapters they were writing, editing, or reviewing. I assisted authors in the preparation of their chapter proposals and full chapter submissions and tracked important deadlines and ensured they were met. I helped to coordinate internal processes such as linguistic review, and monitored the technical aspects of the process. As a PPM I was also involved in the acquisition of editors. Whether that be identifying an exceptional author and proposing an editorship collaboration, or contacting researchers who liked the opportunity of working with IntechOpen, I established and help manage author and editor acquisition and contact.

While doing an internship at the CICC, I advised new businesses on formation of corporations and business structures, drafting privacy policies and structuring commercial transactions.

While working part-time at the CNOOC & Shell headquarters in Beijing, my task at the front desk was that of welcoming both Chinese and foreign CNOOC & Shell partners, answering phone calls and giving orientation instructions.
