About Miriam A.

Back in 2000, I landed a job at a Civil Engineering firm working in the Aviation Department, I knew then there was no turning back. I loved and continue loving the skills I have earned thus far. At the end of the day I love a job that involves people. With a combined 20-year experience in a broad range of capabilities, including construction project management, nonprofit management, and business diversity and community relations, I'm the colleague at work that everyone knows; I am resourceful and can get tasks done. Highly collaborative, passionate, creative and articulate, able to achieve results while maintaining positivity and high standard of quality; I pride myself in being dedicated to both my career and job. My tenure includes positions as a compliance contract administrator, advocacy & outreach, data management, proposal writer, and program coordinator. Most recently part of a consulting team at Greater Orlando Aviation Authority for the Small Business Development assisting diversity-owned small businesses in construction and professional services projects. Knowledgeable in GSA forms SF330, SF294 and SF295, DOT regulatory policies, 49 CFR Parts 26.1 and 26.23 and Small Business Administrations regulations, 13 CFR part 21. Additionally, I own a nonprofit foster-based dog rescue. Owning a dog rescue organization since 2017 has been personally rewarding. Experiencing the trust and love of a vulnerable and unwanted dog by providing a second chance of a better life is truly life-changing. It is true when people say "it only takes one person." What will be next in my life as a provider to these dogs is to educate the masses not only locally and statewide but also nationally. There is so much need and yet resources on any level are insufficient.
