I am passionate about coming alongside other people and bettering their future. Serving as a Combat Medic in the U.S. Army and a Nurse Assistant at my local hospital are only two of the avenues that I use to live out that love for people. I've been in the Army for two years. During that time, I have gained the respect of my superiors through my teaching skills and strong work ethic. I've worked at Northwest Health Laporte as a nurse assistant for over half a year, earning a PETALS award three months in for my commitment to helping others. I also volunteer in Civil Air Patrol as a mentor and teacher and spend time individually mentoring others in their own walks of life! My biggest motivation is seeing my soldiers and cadets find their own unique path. Watching them grow into their full potential and self-actualize is my greatest reward. My mission is to save lives and help other people become better versions of themselves. One of the ways I will do that is becoming a trauma nurse. I also plan on seeking continuing education in counseling and mental health. I'm currently finishing a degree in Health Science to move me towards these goals.
