I have always valued taking steps off the beaten path to find the unique side of life.Beginning my nursing career in 2016, I knew even then that nursing was so much more than its surface appearance. So many disciplines come together in patient care, and nurses are such a core part of coordinating the team to deliver excellent patient outcomes. As a nurse, you'll learn so much more and fill more roles than you can imagine! In this you can find so many different ways to care for people from all walks of life.Working as a bedside nurse in different care environments was an amazing experience. I developed deep bonds with my team and patients over the years, and learned how to advocate for others in vulnerable situations. Throughout my time in the acute clinical setting, I acquired leadership and collaborative skills to last a lifetime. While I loved bedside care, I did know in my heart that I still wanted to do something really different in nursing while still working directly with people. In 2022 I went on to practice as a Studio Nurse with Rowan. It was so unique and incredible! I've learned so much about piercing and used my hospital background to care for our customers and teach them all about piercing care.I am currently a member of our Rowan Nurse Leadership Team, serving as a Nurse Education and Training Specialist. I love getting to meet so many new nurses and introducing them to what we do! Whether I'm working remotely alongside our wonderful team or traveling to brand new studios, I take a lot of joy in promoting safety through our training process and watching nurses learn new skills in a celebratory and positive environment.
