CurrentAct as Past President and Consultant on the Executive Committee. Supervised all affairs of Sister Cities Association of Sarasota (SCAS) and its other officers. Provided leadership and chair all meetings of the Board of Directors. Held Annual Meeting. Traveled to our eight Sister Cities around the world to plan and execute projects and exchanges. Supervised fundraising initiatives. Fostered relationships with the Mayor, Vice Mayor, and City Commissioners of Sarasota to promote Sarasota to our Sister Cities and related areas. Identified and nurtured relationships between Sister Cities Association of Sarasota (SCAS) and other community leaders, institutions, and organizations in business and economic sectors of the Sarasota community while promoting partnership opportunities and awareness of our projects. Provide PR through TV and newspaper interviews, along with press releases, letters to the editor, and editorials. Implemented SCAS Board-approved projects and special initiatives in the areas of nonprofit and business/economic development. Worked with the Vice Presidents, City Directors, and Assistant City Directors to identify and develop opportunities to raise our profile while implementing projects, seminars, luncheons, and lectures. Traveled to annual Sister Cities International (SCI) Conferences in 2019, along with the Fifth Municipal Sister Cities International Forum in Moscow and our Sister City of Vladimir. Attended first SCI Africa Summit in 2023 to pursue a potential Sister City in Africa. Developed relationships with Sister City International leadership to promote Sarasota's role in our mutual mission. As stated previously in the CD Vladimir job description below, awarded the Summer 2021 Kathryn Davis Peace Fellowship to Middlebury College. Took intensive Russian language course and networked with other Fellows to improve SCAS programs. Learned about similar initiatives. Received a 4.0 average.
