Founding director of the Office of Pretrial Justice Initiatives, developed to oversee an expanded continuum of pretrial service programming in New York City.

Worked closely with national experts, local community leaders, judicial leadership, prosecutors, and defense attorneys to develop and grow alternatives to detention and incarceration for juveniles and adults in New York City. Developed, implemented, managed, and grew the City’s first citywide pretrial release program “Supervised Release” based on best practices and research from around the country.

for the Prisoner Reentry Institute

Managed and operated program working one on one with offenders in correctional facilities or on parole. Primary role was to generate sustainable housing for re-entering offenders and to assist them to avoid eviction and returning to prison. Included initiating and maintaining relationships with landlords, community organizations and municipal agencies. Also worked with policy makers and administrators to improve policies and programs for this population throughout the state.
