Led scoping and government implementation plan for the transfer of Rail Delivery Group (RDG) to a public body to run Britain's railways , part of an ambitious sector transformation Programme set out in the Government white paper, the Plan for Rail (2021). Developed strategic approach for a 'Year of Engineering', giving shape to and a delivery plan for a Ministerial pledge. The campaign increased the visibility of and perceptions towards jobs in engineering, and addressed under-representation. It delivered an increase in the desirability of engineering careers by 35 percentage points among target audience of 7-11 year olds, for those aware of the campaign, with campaign reach of 242m.Making effective decisions - led literature review, commissioned research and focus groups to take evidence based approach to campaign based on strategic insight. Use of partnerships and umbrella brand brought coherence to crowded landscape and new government relationships with key brands, significantly reducing the cost of the campaign whilst delivering impact. Building and managing relationships - Secured industry support and collaboration. Developed objective for sector to collaborate on common evaluation tool to better understand 'what works' in STEM outreach activity.
